Spring Trainers
The trainer trend is set to stay. From suits to gym-wear, we find ourselves in trainers 24/7. As you start to look for trainers for the Spring, I wanted to share the different trends I have seen at international trade fairs for this season. We have tried to bring each of these trends to Watkinsons!
We hope that you enjoy and come and see us for our entire collection. We have trainers in store for men, ladies and children.

1- The Platform Trainer
Platforms have dominated the market for the last two years but are still a fun addition that everyone needs to their wardrobe. They are chunky and elevate the legs- the chunkier the better this season. Our chunkiest platform in the collection is the Dile by Fly London!

2- The Return of the Hi-Top
Basketball The basketball style trainer has made a huge comeback. The hi-top has been a sell out style all year and has got the world wanting to add a bit of skater to their style! Our favourite hi-tops are from Paul Green and can be worn with anything this summer. The Pebble hi top is available in Alpaca (light beige), blue or grey and can be worn throughout the seasons.

3- The Pull Lace Trainer
The elasticated pull lace trainer is new to this summer. These type of trainers feature elasticated pull laces and are both stylish and practical- in basic terms they do not need to be tied! We have tie lace options by Paul Green (Peppi, available in black or white), or the Cantabria by Pikolinos.

4- The Classic White Trainer
White is IN this season. Unlike any season in the last ten years, white trainers and boots are also to carry on through the year. Team up with a pair of white or beige trainers for an all white look!
5- The Suede Combination
A leather trainer with suede detailing at the back is on trend for this season. Every brand is doing their own version of this trainer. Our favourites this season is the Another Trend versions by Alpe- they feature a H design and are simply one of a kind.
