Cheaney & Sons… The Best of British

I recently had the fantastic opportunity to visit the Joseph Cheaney factory in Northamptonshire. As I drove away, I was shocked and in awe of the intricate process of British shoemaking that I had witnessed. The importance of British made goods is absolutely crucial. Not only are British made shoes of the highest possible quality, everything is crafted with skill and conforms to sustainable working standards whilst supporting a local economy.

Joseph Cheaney is only slightly older than our founder, Albert Watkinson. The Cheaney company was first established in 1886 and is still in its original factory premise. Cheaney have been known to make shoes for some of the finest retailers across the globe. The Cheaney name was sold to the Church name in 1964 and then opened itself up to grow even further.

In 1966 Cheaney and Sons won the Queens Award to Industry for export achievement and has been known as one of the most unrivalled existing British shoe companies.

The factory at Joseph Cheaney produce both our own brand and we stock many mens Joseph Cheaney options! We have been working with Joseph Cheaney for nearly 100 years and we are delighted to be introducing a ladies Cheaney range for AW 22.
